>>UMKC LISTSERVS: Notice of Upcoming Change in Hosting (07/01/2025 08:00:00 - 07/01/2025 17:00:00)
(We are also sending this announcement to all owners and editors of listservs hosted at listserv.umkc.edu)
In collaboration with MU's Division of IT, we will be migrating off our standalone L-Soft server into L-Soft's ListPlex email hosting service. After the migration is complete you should notice minimal change in functionality or feel. The new web system uses the same engine as the old system, and both the email domain and the web address for "listserv.umkc.edu" will automatically route into the new hosting service. To use the new web interface, you will only need to re-register your listserv owner email address and password on its login page, as those credentials will not carry over. Email-only interaction with listservs will remain the same, though. Detailed information on ListPlex can be found at https://www.lsoft.com/products/listplex.asp
Here is what to expect on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025:
At 8:00AM CDT, we will take the listserv instance offline to start the migration to ListPlex. We expect this process will take a few hours, and will maintain a status message at https://status.missouri.edu tracking the change. Mail sent during this time will bounce back to the sender; this is unavoidable but temporary. We must take the server offline to gather the final versions of our archive files and subscriber lists. L-Soft will then import those into ListPlex.
The Migration Timeline:
1. listserv.umkc.edu goes offline at 08:00 am, Tuesday, July 1st.
2. Final export goes to L-Soft for import into ListPlex.
3. DNS work will move the legacy mail domains to the new service.
4. Exchange and M365 systems will be updated to prevent legacy mail flow to the old server.
5. Postmasters verify the new environment.
Once all of that is complete, we will send another announcement to let users know our new ListPlex-hosted service is open for business. We will also update the Status websites.
Thank you for your patience with this process!

>>KeyServer/RooLabs Online Upgrade (07/07/2025 09:00:00)
The KeyServer and KeyReporter applications will be upgraded from 8.0.0.4 to 8.0.1.1. The upgrade provides important security fixes, improved system stability, and enhanced web interface functionality. It resolves bugs related to reporting, authentication (like Okta/SAML), and OS detection while refining user experience across admin tools and web dashboards. This update is essential for maintaining a secure, reliable, and smoothly functioning environment.
