>>macOS Tahoe Update (08/10/2026 16:00:00)

 We will be updating University owned Mac computers to macOS 26 Tahoe.

>>Windows Hello for Business enablement (09/21/2026 10:00:00)

 A group policy will be deployed to all campus managed Windows computers, to allow users to opt-in to Windows Hello for Business. This capability is a phishing resistant FIDO2 method, that can be used for authentication to Azure, and will be an important part of a larger pending roll out. Once enabled, after the next computer reboot, a user can go to Windows Settings, Accounts, Sign-in Options, and can add their Windows Hello PIN and other related logon options. If Windows Hello was setup before the September 21st change, the user will need to disable the PIN first, reboot, then enable the PIN to upgrade to Windows Hello for Business. This change has already been rolled out to UMKC IS machines since the end of June, this change extends the capability to the full campus.
