>>Microsoft 365 Office apps User-Based Licensing (01/12/2026 02:00:00)

 To enable features in the M365 Office apps on Windows systems that are not available when using device-based licensing, we will be switching the primary computers of M365 A5 licensed faculty and staff to user-based licensing. This will enable access to the free M365 Copilot Chat in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., as well as the full functionality of licensed M365 Copilot. In coordination with this we will also be deploying the Microsoft 365 Copilot app that is now built into new releases of Windows 11 to all Windows systems that it is not currently installed.

 On Is pages the CM and Outages are not displaying images properly. This version of deployment will fix them. End users may experience a very brief interruption or may not notice any outage at all.
