 A critical defect has been identified in controller version 17.15.4d that severely impacts stability. Any configuration modification whether minor adjustments or major changes causes the controller to become unstable, resulting in an immediate crash and automatic reboot. The issue is fully reproducible, which means no administrative changes can be safely performed in the current state. This prevents standard operational tasks such as maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration updates without triggering a controller outage. Given that configuration changes are a routine requirement in day-to-day network operations, this defect introduces a significant risk of unintended service disruption. Even essential changes intended to support users or resolve issues may result in an unexpected controller failure. As a result, the environment is being operated under strict change restrictions to avoid triggering the defect, which limits operational flexibility and responsiveness. Service Impact: Wireless connectivity will be fully unavailable during the patching window while the controller is upgraded and rebooted.
