>>Upgrade for Jabber VPN servers (12/29/2025 09:30:00)

 We will be upgrading the Expressways which provide a VPN for the Jabber clients when off campus. We will be upgrading from x12.6.4 to 14.3.7. This will only effect Jabber users who are off campus and trying to connect to the phone service.

>>Scheduled Update for UMKC RooEval (01/08/2026 16:00:00)

 A new version of the RooEval application will be deployed to include improvements related to digital accessibility to ensure better compliance and user experience. No functional changes impacting business processes are expected. Expected downtime during deployment is 10 minutes or less.

>>Applying the Oracle patch to the KC-ISIA-DWPROD instance. (01/10/2026 11:00:00)

 Applying the Oracle patch to the KC-ISIA-DWPROD instance, already applied in both Dev and Test environments.

>>Microsoft 365 Office apps User-Based Licensing (01/12/2026 02:00:00)

 To enable features in the M365 Office apps on Windows systems that are not available when using device-based licensing, we will be switching the primary computers of M365 A5 licensed faculty and staff to user-based licensing. This will enable access to the free M365 Copilot Chat in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., as well as the full functionality of licensed M365 Copilot. In coordination with this we will also be deploying the Microsoft 365 Copilot app that is now built into new releases of Windows 11 to all Windows systems that it is not currently installed.
